It’s originally from Pyrenees Mountains of France and Spain, bred for herding and guarding sheep. This breed is highly trainable, intelligent and superbly athletic, making it ideal for dog sports. Pyrenean Shepherds have a unique appearance with either smooth or rough-faced coats, in a variety of colors. They are extremly loyal to their families, yet may be wary of strangers, making them good watchdogs.
